Understand international prices without leaving the page. Hover Currency Converter shows a price in your preferred currency when you hover over it. Compare products, check travel costs, or read prices in articles without copying amounts into another tab. Convert as you browse • Hover over common price formats such as $19.99, €10,39, R$ 19,99, or 19.99 USD. • Search for your preferred target currency in the side panel. • Enter an amount in the quick converter and swap the source and target currencies. • Choose decimal places, tooltip position, and appearance. • Turn conversions off globally or for a site. • Use keyboard focus on supported elements, Enter to toggle the conversion, and Escape to dismiss it. Get started 1. Install the extension and open it from Chrome’s Extensions menu. 2. Choose your target currency in the side panel. 3. Visit a page with prices and hover over an amount. Privacy and storage Price detection and conversion happen in your browser. Page text and prices are not sent to the currency APIs. The extension downloads public exchange rates and currency names, with no tracking or analytics. Currency choices, enable settings, and the disabled site list use Chrome sync storage and may sync across your signed-in browsers. Appearance preferences and cached rates stay on your device. About conversions An internet connection is needed to download fresh rates. Cached rates may remain available offline and can be out of date. Conversions are estimates, not bank or card quotes, and do not include transaction fees. Detection depends on how a website displays its prices. Some formats and restricted Chrome pages are not supported. Symbols shared by multiple currencies can be ambiguous; use the quick converter when you need to choose the source currency explicitly.
