FrameTogether enables synchronized film watching on MUBI through virtual watch parties. Create or join a room, and the host controls playback for everyone in it. When the host plays, pauses, or seeks, every viewer follows within moments. Built for long-distance relationships and film clubs. Features: - Real-time synchronized playback control. - Host and viewer roles, with automatic handover if the host leaves. - Shareable room IDs, with no account and no sign-up. - Minimal permissions. The extension reads the MUBI player only, and stores nothing beyond your chosen server and your current room. Usage: - Navigate to a film on MUBI. - Create a room, or enter a room ID you were given. - Share the room ID with the people watching with you. - The host controls playback, and everyone else follows. Technical: MUBI is supported today, and further platforms are planned. Both the extension and the server are open source and self-hostable. The server is written in Rust for performance and reliability. Everyone taking part needs the extension and must be on the same MUBI film page. Important Notice: This is not an extension for watching MUBI without a subscription, and it is not affiliated with MUBI. FrameTogether is a video synchronization extension that began with MUBI support first. Everyone using it needs a valid MUBI subscription.
