Overview
A scratchpad in your toolbar. List & editor, drag-reorder, auto-save, copy. Optional local sync across browsers. Stays on your PC.
GETMEMO is a lightweight memo pad that lives in your browser toolbar — always one click away. No accounts. No cloud. Your notes stay on your own machine. WHAT IT DOES • Two-pane layout: memo list on the left, editor on the right. • Auto-save as you type — no save button needed. • Drag rows to reorder your memos. • Write a title and body for each memo, or just drop a URL and keep moving. • One-click copy: grab a memo's title and body to the clipboard with the button next to the title. • Download all memos as a single .txt file (YYYY-MM-DD_getmemo.txt), neatly separated. OPTIONAL LOCAL SYNC (across your browsers on the same PC) • Run the small companion program on your own computer and GETMEMO will share the same notes across Brave, Edge, and Chrome — because each browser otherwise keeps its storage separate. • The connection is loopback only (127.0.0.1) — your machine, never the internet. • Completely optional: without it, GETMEMO works fully offline using local browser storage. SIMPLE BY DESIGN • No account, no API key, no cloud setup. • Install and it just works. • Your data stays on your machine. PRIVACY • No data is collected or sent to any remote server. Notes live in chrome.storage.local. • The optional sync talks only to a companion on your own PC (127.0.0.1) — nothing leaves your machine. • Copy and download features work entirely on your device.
