AI agents are writing more code than you can comfortably read. GitHub still gives you the diff as an alphabetical file list. Guided Review turns a GitHub pull request into an ordered walkthrough of review units: related hunks clustered together, dependencies before call-sites, and production changes followed by their tests. Each unit includes short context for what you are about to read. AI structures the walkthrough. You read the real code and decide. WHAT IT DOES Review changes, not files Related hunks are grouped into review units and ordered so the pull request reads as a change, not a directory listing. Keep the code honest Every line shown in the overlay comes from the parsed GitHub diff. The model can choose the grouping, order, titles, and commentary. It cannot replace the code you see. References to files or hunks that are not in the real diff are dropped. Work keyboard-first Move between units, scroll code, search the whole diff, switch between split and unified views, draft comments, and submit a review without leaving the keyboard. Comment without leaving GitHub Draft single-line or multi-line comments as you review. When you are ready, connect GitHub and submit a Comment, Approve, or Request Changes review from the overlay. Nothing is submitted until you confirm it. Bring your own AI provider Use Claude from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Grok from xAI with your own API key. Choose the provider and model from the extension’s Options page. A provider is optional. Without one, Guided Review still opens a file-by-file walkthrough in diff order. Add a provider to cluster related hunks and generate short unit summaries. PRIVACY The extension has no Guided Review backend and includes no product analytics. When AI structuring is enabled, the diff prompt goes directly to the provider you configured. The extension talks to GitHub to fetch the pull request diff and, only when you choose to submit, post your review. Provider settings and API keys are stored in chrome.storage.local. The active diff, review plan, current step, and draft comments are stored in chrome.storage.session for the browser session. Guided Review never receives your API key, diff, code, or review activity because there is no product server receiving them. GETTING STARTED 1. Install Guided Review. 2. Open a pull request on github.com. 3. Click Start Guided Review. 4. Optionally add an API key for AI clustering and summaries. 5.
