Steam Intel adds a clear summary of price, game status and available deals directly on Steam game pages and on your wishlist. Steam Intel helps you read them before you buy. WHAT IT SHOWS ON A GAME PAGE • Steam price, current discount and historical low (via IsThereAnyDeal, optional). • A plain-language summary of whether the current price looks worth it, based only on signals that actually matter — no guesses, no fake urgency. • Game status built from recent updates, reviews, player counts and community activity, so you can tell a supported game from an abandoned one. • Automatic recognition of base games, DLC, Season Passes, free-to-play titles, Early Access and not-yet-released products. • An instant check of whether the game supports your language. • A comparison of offers from authorized resellers (IsThereAnyDeal) and aggregated retail/keyshop prices (GG.deals), always clearly separated and attributed. • A visual "Lifecycle" timeline of the game's Early Access entry, full release and major updates over time. OPTIONAL ON-DEVICE AI SUMMARY (experimental) • A short local summary of what recent players are saying, grouped into what's appreciated and what's criticized. • Powered entirely by Chrome's built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano) — nothing leaves your device, and the feature is off by default. • Every point links back to the actual reviews it draws from. WHAT IT ADDS TO YOUR WISHLIST (experimental) • Optional lowest current price per item from IsThereAnyDeal and/or GG.deals. • Local caching and a manual refresh option. • Experimental sorting by ITAD or GG.deals price, with a safe fallback to Steam's own order if the sort cannot be applied. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • No account, no proprietary backend, no telemetry. • Your API keys and preferences are stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local). • IsThereAnyDeal and GG.deals are entirely optional — Steam Intel works without them, it simply shows fewer price comparisons. • Sources are always attributed. Nothing is shown as verified when it isn't — missing data is shown as missing, never as a realistic-looking placeholder. • No purchases are made through the extension; a Ko-fi link is a voluntary way to support development, never presented as an in-app purchase. ABOUT OPTIONAL API KEYS IsThereAnyDeal and GG.deals price data require a free personal API key from each service. Steam Intel works without them — you'll just see Steam's own price and status information, without the external price comparison and historical low. LANGUAGES Steam Intel's interface is available in English, Italian, German, French and Spanish, with automatic detection from Steam and an explicit language switch in Options. ALPHA NOTE Steam Intel is in active Alpha testing. Some information depends on the availability of external services, and wishlist enrichment may need adjustments whenever Steam updates its own page structure.
