Vyact for Chrome helps you write with confidence, understand web content, and learn languages as you browse. Catch writing mistakes, refine your sentences, translate what you read, and ask AI about the page you’re viewing. Connected to the Vyact desktop app, Vyact brings your preferred local model or AI provider into your browser—with every writing correction under your control. WRITE WITH CONFIDENCE • Check your writing as you type Enable automatic checks for spelling, grammar, spacing, and punctuation in supported web editors. Underlined suggestions show what could be improved and why. • Review and apply corrections Apply or dismiss suggestions individually or all at once. Your text changes only when you choose to apply a correction. • Keep checks up to date If you edit while a check is running, Vyact cancels the outdated request and checks your latest text after you pause typing. You can turn automatic checking on or off for each site. • Find the right words and tone Refine the full contents of a web editor with grammar correction, or choose a natural, polite, concise, or humorous style. Select an output language and add instructions to guide the result. • Compare before you commit Review the original and refined text side by side. Apply the result in supported editors or copy it to use elsewhere. LEARN WHILE YOU BROWSE • Discover words in context Look up meanings, pronunciation, and example sentences based on what you’re reading. • Build your vocabulary Save useful words and example sentences to your Vyact vocabulary list. • Learn with Netflix Watch with dual subtitles, move between subtitle segments, replay a line, or automatically pause for focused listening practice. • Explore subtitle meanings Ask questions about the current Netflix subtitle and receive AI-powered explanations. HOW IT WORKS Vyact requires the Vyact desktop app to be running on your computer. The extension connects to the app at localhost and sends the content needed for the feature you request or enable. When automatic writing checks are enabled, text from supported editors is sent to the desktop app after you pause typing. Writing refinement uses the full contents of the selected editor, along with your chosen style, output language, and additional instructions. Neither feature applies generated changes without your action. Netflix learning features work on Netflix playback pages through the Vyact learning viewer. Subtitle content is sent to the desktop app when needed for a requested feature, such as an AI explanation. AI processing is handled by the desktop app using your selected local model or external AI provider. If you select an external provider, the content needed for your request may be sent to that provider. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Vyact uses page, writing, and subtitle content to provide the features you request or enable. Automatic writing checks process editor text while the feature is enabled.
