Paginaut is a productivity extension that combines screenshot tools and text tools in one lightweight package. ** WHAT'S NEW** * Revamped Full Page screenshot * Removed optional legacy full-page capture (Chrome debugger). Full page now uses scroll-stitch only. The extension no longer requests the debugger permission. * Contextual right click menu. You can select text and send it to Test tools (Change case, Character count, Transliteration) or click on image and send it to Image tools (Annotator, OCR or QR code reader) SCREENSHOT TOOLS Unified preview window for all screenshot captures: format, quality, copy, save. Post-capture crop in preview (current screen, full page single image, region). Save as PNG, JPG, or WEBP. Copy image directly to clipboard. Reset image restores the original capture. Current Screen * Capture current viewport (visible part of the page on the screen) Full page * Capture entire page (default) scroll-stitch capture (no debugger). * Very tall pages may save as multiple numbered PNGs to Downloads with an in-extension preview (multipart mode; crop applies to the preview thumbnail only for copy/save of that preview) Region selection * Capture Selected Region by drawing a crop area, resize with handles, move selection, ✓ / ✕ on the crop box; Image annotator * Open a local image (file picker, drag-and-drop, or paste) into the same preview editor—crop, annotate, Save/Copy without capturing a tab. TEXT TOOLS Local OCR flow using bundled assets (Tesseract), Save extracted / decoded text as .txt , Copy extracted / decoded text to clipboard. Text Grab (OCR) * Select any on-screen region; (same drag-to-select flow as region capture) * extract text locally with bundled Tesseract. * Copy to clipboard or save as .txt QR code reader * Box a QR on the page; decode locally with bundled jsQR. Copy or save the payload as text. Toggle in Options like OCR. Character count * Live stats: words, characters, paragraphs, lines, whitespace, UTF-8 size, reading time. Optional clipboard pre-fill when opening from the popup. Change case * Transform text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Sentence case, Title Case, or Toggle case. Copy the result in one click. Toggle in Options. Transliteration * Convert between Latin and Cyrillic with automatic script detection or manual target selection—ideal for bilingual workflows. CUSTOMIZATION * Page context menu: right-click on a page → Paginaut submenu with the same enabled tools and order as the popup (from Options layout and feature flags) * Popup layout: drag-and-drop tool order in Options (Favorites, Screenshot, Text columns) with the same per-tool enable/disable checkboxes as before * Feature flags in Options page (enable/disable each major feature) UI LOCALIZATION Language override in Options (Auto/browser, English, Serbian) PRIVACY-FIRST BEHAVIOR * Processing is performed locally inside the extension (full page defaults to scroll-based stitching; optional legacy CDP path — no cloud screenshot service) * The extension’s features do not require internet for their own operation (opening a live website is separate) * User explicitly triggers all capture and processing actions
