Copy text from any video or web page, Telugu and English, without clicking the extension again and again. Most OCR extensions make you click the icon and select an area every single time. Live Area OCR is different: select the area ONCE, and it stays. Every time new text appears, just press Alt+Shift+C and the text is copied. Paste it anywhere with Ctrl+V. Perfect for copying subtitles from YouTube, news tickers, lecture slides, song lyrics, movie captions and any text shown inside a video. HOW IT WORKS 1. Press Alt+Shift+S and drag a box over the subtitles or text. 2. Press Alt+Shift+C whenever you want the text. It is copied instantly. 3. The box stays until you close it. No need to select again. OPTIONAL: GOOGLE CLOUD VISION For the highest accuracy on difficult Telugu text, you can switch to Google Cloud Vision in the settings and use your own API key. Only then is the selected area sent to Google for reading. TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS - Draw the box tightly around the text. - Turn on only the languages shown on screen. - A bigger player or fullscreen gives clearer text. Note: Chrome does not allow extensions on chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store itself. Videos protected with DRM (for example Netflix) show up black in captures, so their text cannot be read.
