Overview

Fills your PR Portal forms from your OpenVisa answers, and opens IRCC PDF forms right in Chrome to fill and save.

OpenVisa helps couples prepare a Canadian spousal or common-law sponsorship application on their own. This extension does two things, both free once it is installed. 1. Open IRCC PDF forms right in Chrome Click an IMM form on canada.ca, or open one you downloaded, and it opens in the extension instead of Chrome's "Please wait..." page. Fill it in place, run the form's own Validate button, see which fields still need a value, and save the PDF. No Adobe Acrobat, no sign-in, no code. Other PDFs stay in Chrome's viewer. 2. Fill your PR Portal forms from your OpenVisa answers It fills your forms in IRCC's Permanent Residence Portal (PR Portal) with the answers you already gave on openvisa.ca, so you don't type everything twice. • IMM 0008, Generic application form • IMM 5406, Additional family information • IMM 5562, Supplementary information: your travels • IMM 5669, Schedule A: background / declaration How the PR Portal fill works 1. Finish your application on openvisa.ca. 2. On your finished application, press "Connect the extension", or paste the code it shows you. 3. Sign in to the PR Portal, open your application, and press "Fill my forms". 4. Check every page in the portal. You submit the application yourself. Good to know • The PDF forms open from canada.ca and from files on your computer. To open downloaded forms, allow file access when Chrome asks (Settings in the extension shows how). You can turn the PDF viewer off in Settings. • PDF forms are filled and saved on your computer. Nothing you type in a form is sent anywhere. • The PR Portal fill needs an OpenVisa application. It only runs on the PR Portal (prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca) and only talks to OpenVisa's server, to load the answers for your code. • Your code is saved on this computer. Press "Use a different application" to remove it. • The extension speaks 13 languages, the PDF viewer included. Forms are filled in English, as IRCC requires. OpenVisa is an independent service. It is not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada. Questions: hello@openvisa.ca
