Overview

Combinable search filters for YouTube: date range, length, views, title words, channels, and hiding Shorts, ads and watched videos.

YouTube Enhanced Search Filters gives YouTube the search filters it should have had all along. YouTube's built-in filters are sometimes very limited. This extension adds a powerful filter panel to every YouTube search page, letting you combine any filters freely. Filter by: - Sort order (relevance, popularity) - Upload date, including custom date ranges (using before/after) - Video type (video, channel, playlist, movie) - Duration, including custom minute ranges - View count range - Features (Live, 4K, HD, Subtitles, Creative Commons, 360°, VR180, 3D, HDR) - Keywords the title must or must not contain - Hide watched videos, sponsored content, Shorts, Movies, and irrelevant sections Extra features: - Save filter combinations as named presets - Active filter count badge on the button - Live results counter above search results - Alt+F keyboard shortcut to open/close the panel - Settings saved across sessions v2.0.0 - New design: the filter button now sits next to YouTube's search box, the panel uses YouTube's own look (light and dark) with icons instead of emoji, and is split into Filters, Hide and Presets tabs. - Fixed: the view count filter didn't hide anything (YouTube stopped writing "views"). - Fixed: the "4–20 min" and "Over 20 min" options were swapped; durations now use YouTube's current options (Under 3 / 3–20 / Over 20 min). - Fixed: VR180, 3D and HDR sent the wrong codes and were ignored by YouTube. - Fixed: filters were shown as active on new searches but YouTube's part wasn't applied. - Fixed: "Hide sections" also hid the chapter list inside normal results, and "Hide Shorts" could hide non-Shorts shelves. - Fixed: `Alt + F` stopped working after visiting a few search pages. - New: Shorts type and Location feature, hiding channels, a starred preset for new tabs, "Show them" for hidden results with the reason, `K`/`M` in view counts, phrases and `*` in title words, accent-insensitive matching. - Custom date ranges now also hide old results YouTube lets through. - Custom length ranges now also ask YouTube for the matching length, so more results fit. - Filters that don't need YouTube (views, title words, Hide) apply instantly without reloading. - Settings and presets moved to the extension's own storage. Existing 1.x presets and Hide settings are imported automatically.
