Select an area, hide it, box it, point at it, then straight to the clipboard. Nothing leaves your machine. Snap Redact is for the moment you want to paste part of a page into Slack, a bug report, or a doc, with something blacked out and something pointed at. One trip: select, mark, copy. No editor tab, no account, no upload. The UI follows your browser language, English or Japanese. The screenshots were taken in a Japanese browser. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon, use the right-click menu, or press Cmd+Shift+E (Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows and Linux). 2. Drag an area, or click an element to select exactly it. Cmd+A / Ctrl+A selects the whole visible page. 3. Hide (1), Box (2) or Arrow (3). Drag inside the selection to draw, or click an element to hide or box it precisely. 4. Copy (Cmd+C or Enter) or save as PNG (Cmd+S). Done. REDACTION THAT CANNOT BE REVERSED Hide paints a solid, opaque block. There is no blur and no mosaic, on purpose: both can be reversed, and a screenshot you have already shared cannot be taken back. What is hidden is gone from the image. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR MACHINE - No server, no cloud, no analytics, no crash reports, no external fonts - No storage permission: the extension keeps nothing, not even settings - The capture is processed inside the page and handed straight to your clipboard or your downloads folder NO INSTALL WARNINGS Only three permissions: activeTab, scripting and contextMenus. None of them shows a warning. clipboardWrite and downloads are deliberately not requested.
