)Overview
Design QA: inspect elements, annotate issues, apply CSS edits, match design tokens, and export PNG, HTML, or Jira tickets locally.
Design QA Inspector is a local browser extension for designers and frontend teams who need faster UI review handoff. Use it to click elements on a page, inspect implementation styles, leave numbered annotations, test quick CSS adjustments, compare values against an imported design-token index, and export QA evidence as PNG screenshots, a standalone HTML report, Jira-ready CSV, or one-click Jira tickets when you configure a connection. Core features: - Click any element in the active tab to inspect its selector, size, spacing, color, typography, and layout details - Add numbered annotations with severity and status - Start with Quick Edit after selecting an element, with Annotate directly below - Preview CSS changes with contextual group summaries and token review guidance - Keep manual folds and keyboard focus stable while editing or resetting - Import a design-token JSON index and run Token Match checks in Quick Edit - Export standalone HTML reports with per-note element crops when the capture pipeline can extract them - Export the visible page or full page with annotation markers - Export a standalone HTML report with URL, timestamp, and notes table - Build Jira ticket drafts from annotations, then create issues in Jira Cloud (cookie session) or download a Jira CSV import file as a metadata-only fallback - Keep annotations, imported tokens and inspector state in Chrome local storage by default; no bundled analytics or vendor cloud sync Recommended uses: - Design QA before engineering handoff - Visual bug reporting - Comparing implementation details against Figma specs or a token index - Creating screenshot-based review notes for Jira, Slack, or pull requests Known limits in V1: - Restricted browser pages such as chrome:// cannot be inspected - Cross-origin iframes and closed Shadow DOM may be limited - Full-page capture is best-effort on extremely tall or dynamic pages - Jira CSV export is metadata-only and does not upload screenshots; use Create in Jira for attachments - This is an annotation and export tool, not a full DevTools replacement
