RequestHeaders — Modify HTTP Headers

Add custom request headers with simple key-value rows and toggles.

RequestHeaders is a local Chrome extension to add, edit, and toggle custom HTTP request headers while you develop and test web apps. Use it when you need an Authorization token, an environment header, a feature flag, or any other request header without changing application code. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Add custom request headers as name and value rows • Turn one header or every header off without deleting your setup • Keep separate profiles for local, staging, and debugging • Limit a profile to specific sites (for example api.example.com or localhost) or apply it to all HTTP and HTTPS requests • Hide secret values such as Authorization in the popup • Duplicate a profile, then export or import your setup as local JSON • Save automatically as you type — no account and no cloud sync HOW TO MODIFY REQUEST HEADERS 1. Install RequestHeaders and open the toolbar popup 2. Add a header name (for example Authorization or X-Environment) and its value 3. Optionally restrict the profile to the current tab or listed hosts 4. Reload the page and confirm the header in Chrome DevTools → Network 5. Pause a single row or all rules when you are done 6. Headers are applied with Chrome’s Manifest V3 declarativeNetRequest API. 7. RequestHeaders does not intercept request bodies or run remote code. WHO IT IS FOR Frontend, API, and QA work: point a local build at the right backend, send a test token, add a diagnostic header, or keep staging flags grouped and easy to pause. PRIVACY • No account • No analytics • No advertising identifiers • Settings stay in Chrome’s local extension storage • Nothing is sent to the developer or a third-party service Do not enable secret headers on “all sites” unless you intend to send them on every HTTP and HTTPS request. Restrict the profile to the hosts you are testing, or pause rules when you leave that context.
