Lock your tabs with a password. Your email, bank and messages stay hidden when someone else picks up your computer. Leave your laptop for two minutes and everything you had open is readable. Tab Locker Room puts a full-page lock screen over the tabs you choose. The page underneath is completely hidden, not blurred, and typing, clicking and copying are dead until you unlock. Unlock once and keep browsing. It does not ask again on every click. LOCK WHAT YOU WANT • Lock the current tab from the popup, the right-click menu, or Ctrl+Shift+L. • Always-lock a site so your mail or bank locks itself every time it opens, even after a restart. • Lock down to a path (reddit.com/r/something) or across subdomains (*.bank.com). • Lock the entire browser with one shortcut. New tabs lock too, and one password releases them all. UNLOCK HOW YOU WANT • Master password, a 4 to 8 digit PIN, or Touch ID and Windows Hello. • Biometric unlock works on the lock screen itself, on https pages, in Chrome 122 and later. RE-LOCK WHEN YOU STOP LOOKING • The moment you switch tabs, after a set time, when your screen locks or sleeps, or every time Chrome starts. STAY UNREMARKABLE • The tab title and icon are masked while locked, so nothing shows in the tab strip. • Decoy mode shows a convincing "This site can't be reached" page instead of a lock screen. Ctrl+Shift+U brings the real one back. • Tab vault hides a tab completely. It closes, and its address is stored AES-256-GCM encrypted until you restore it. ALSO • Lock chosen sites only during set hours and days. • Activity log of unlocks and failed attempts. • Settings sync across your Chrome profiles, and JSON backup and restore. • Five wrong attempts start a cooldown that grows each time and survives a restart. PRIVACY No account, no server, no analytics, no network requests at all. Your password is stored only as a PBKDF2-SHA256 hash with 150,000 iterations and a random salt, and never leaves your device. WHAT THIS IS NOT A privacy screen against people near you, not operating system security. Anyone who can use your unlocked computer can uninstall the extension.
