Sanitized AI is an enterprise data loss prevention for AI chat tools. The extension checks what an employee is about to send to an AI site — the prompt and any attached files — and applies your organization's policy before the data leaves the organization. When someone enters information into a supported AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and a growing list), the extension scans the submission in real time for: • Personally identifiable information (PII) — names, emails, credit cards, government IDs, health records • Credentials, API keys, and secrets • Proprietary business data • Sensitive content inside file uploads (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF) If a risk is detected before submission, the extension: • Flags the sensitive content and explains why it shouldn't leave the organization • Offers one-click sanitization with safe placeholders, or lets the user edit • Warns or blocks the submission, according to your administrator's policy • Logs a policy event for audit-ready reporting Privacy by design: admins see only flagged event metadata — never employees' full prompts or conversations.
