Auto Highlight Words Everywhere
Overview
Make your lists once and auto highlight words everywhere: a color word highlighter for keywords, names and terms on any website.
🖍️ Auto Highlight Words Everywhere finds the words and phrases you care about on every page you open and marks them in color. Make a list once, and the extension spots each term for you in articles, job posts, search results, feeds and chats. No more pressing Ctrl+F for the same ten words in every tab. Everything runs in the background, and the important parts of a page are visible at a glance. 🚀 Quick start 1. Click Add to Chrome to install the word highlighter, then pin its icon to the toolbar. 2. Create a list and type your words, one per line or separated by commas. 3. Open any website: every match lights up in the color you picked. 4. Click the icon to see how many matches are on the page and jump between them. ✨ What you can do ➤ Highlight keywords, names, skills, brands or terms from as many lists as you need, with no limit on words. ➤ Keep a separate word list for each task and switch it on and off in one click. ➤ Give each list its own color, so different topics stand out at once. ➤ Auto highlight words in content that loads later: endless feeds, comments, chats and new search results. ➤ See the number of matches on the icon, then jump to the next or the previous one. ➤ Match whole words only, match the case, or use regular expressions to highlight text patterns such as prices, codes or dates. ➤ Want to highlight a word you just noticed? Select it, right-click and add it to a list. 📌 Why this keyword highlighter is different 1️⃣ Pages keep working. Colors are drawn over the text without changing the code of the site, so layouts, buttons, video players and site shortcuts stay as they were. 2️⃣ It works right after install, even in tabs that were already open. 3️⃣ Your lists stay with you. They sync with Chrome on your other computers, and a backup to a file takes one click. 4️⃣ It stays fast on long pages and with hundreds of terms. 5️⃣ Accents and non-Latin letters are supported, so text in any language is matched. 6️⃣ No account, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking. ⚙️ Settings ▸ Mark matches on all sites except the ones you exclude, or only on the sites you choose. ▸ Turn the extension on or off for the current site from its menu. ▸ Pause it everywhere with Alt+Shift+H, or set your own shortcut. ▸ Import terms from a text or CSV file, or paste them all at once. ▸ Choose the text color on top of the marks for better readability. ▸ Skip code blocks if you read documentation and do not want them colored. 🔍 How to highlight words on any page Think of the extension as Ctrl+F that never closes. Instead of typing a query again and again, you keep your terms in lists, and each page is checked the moment it opens. When a site loads more text as you scroll, new matches get their color too. To highlight multiple words for one task, create a separate list, give it a bright color and switch it off when you are done. The same tool covers many small jobs: highlight keywords in a draft before publishing, mark company names in news, find your skills in a long vacancy, or keep track of characters in a story you are reading. 🔒 Privacy Everything happens inside your browser. The text of the pages you visit is processed on your computer and is never sent anywhere. Your data is kept in Chrome storage and synced only through your own Chrome account. The extension needs access to websites for one reason: to find your terms and color them. ❓ Questions Does it work on every website? On regular web pages, yes. Chrome does not let extensions run on its own pages, such as settings or the Web Store. PDF files and Google Docs are not supported yet. How many words can I add? There is no fixed limit. Very large collections may be too big for Chrome sync, and then export and import move them to another computer. Can I use it as a search and highlight tool? Yes. Add a temporary list, type what you are looking for, and every page will show those matches until you turn it off. Does it save notes or manual highlights? No. It is built for highlighting words automatically from your lists; notes and manual selections are not saved. Install Auto Highlight Words Everywhere and let it do the searching for you. Create your first list and watch the page light up.
