PIXEL PETS 🐾 Tiny pixel companions that live in your browser. They walk, sleep, chase balls, greet each other, and hang out on every page you visit! ✦ CURRENTLY HOUSING ✦ 14 species, 31 colors. Pick your favorite: Chicken — brown, white Cockatiel — brown, gray Crab — red Dog — akita, black, brown, red, white Fox — red, white Horse — black, brown, white, magical, warrior, paint beige/black/brown, socks beige/black/brown Miffy — white Monkey — gray Panda — black, brown Rat — brown, gray, white Snail — brown Snake — green Totoro — gray Turtle — green, orange ✦ HOW TO PLAY ✦ Visit Shelter — click to open the form and meet a new friend Pick a pet — tap a sprite, then a color, then Add Pet Reorder — drag pet cards to rearrange the list Throw a ball — double-click any page, or hit 🎾 in the header Feed — click a pet to drop a 🍖 (uses one treat) Wave hello — hover over a pet, they wave back 👋 Hide one — 👁 on a pet's card sends them off-page Hide all — 👁 in the header tucks everyone away Dark mode — 🌙 / ☀ toggle in the header Remove — × on their card, with a 5-second undo ✦ LITTLE BEHAVIORS ✦ → Ball chase — every nearby pet sprints for it; first to touch keeps it → Hover wave — hovering pauses a pet and they wave at you → Pet greetings — two pets walking close to each other say hi (30s cooldown so they don't spam) → Treats — each feed costs one 🍖. You hold up to 10; they refill +1 every 10 minutes → Bedtime — between 10pm and 6am, idle pets curl up and sleep → Special pages — some Chrome pages (chrome://, view-source:) won't allow pets; the popup tells you → Cross-tab — every tab gets its own pets layer; your roster syncs everywhere ✦ CREDITS ✦ Sprites by tonybaloney/vscode-pets, used verbatim with attribution (CC BY-ND 4.0).
