Overview
10-band parametric audio equalizer, up to 600% volume booster, bass boost, and voice compressor for YouTube and any browser tab.
Audio Equalizer is a 10-band studio EQ and volume booster for any tab in Chrome. Turn up quiet videos, shape bass, vocals, and treble, and keep a different sound for each site. It connects to the audio and video already playing in the page. Nothing is recorded or uploaded. KEY FEATURES • 10-band equalizer — adjust 32 Hz through 16 kHz, from -12 dB to +12 dB. Double-click a band to return it to 0 dB. • Volume booster up to 600% — a preamp with a snap at 100%. Click the slider to reset to normal volume. • Studio presets — Flat, Bass, Vocal, Cinema, Night, and Treble in the popup, plus more curves in settings. • Voice clarity — a compressor holds loud peaks down and lifts quiet speech in videos and calls. • Pin a site — save the current preset and volume for one domain, such as YouTube. • Keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows and Linux, Command+Shift+E on Mac. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the popup on a tab that is playing sound. 2. Pick a preset or move the bands. 3. Raise the volume if the video is too quiet. 4. Pin the site if you want that sound every time you return. Audio Equalizer runs locally in your browser. Settings and site presets stay in chrome.storage.local on your device. The extension does not include analytics, ads, or an account, and it does not send audio to a server.
