salamander lets you capture feedback on any website: screenshot areas, mark up what's wrong, and write comments. export feedback as a file and share it with a colleague or an AI coding agent. each feedback note stores the screenshot along with the area you selected: their css selector, xpath, and the surrounding markup. everything an AI agent needs to locate it in the code. how it works: 1. launch the salamander extension on any website. 2. click "add note", then click or drag to select an area. 3. mark up the area with drawings. 4. write your note and save. the screenshot and the element data are captured together. 5. export your feedback. send it to a colleague or drop it into claude, cursor or chatGPT. the exported markdown file shows the screenshots, the notes, and the element data. a human can read it or an agent can locate the elements in code to make changes. works everywhere: static sites, server-rendered pages, and single-page apps (SPAs). security note: everything stays on your local machine. no accounts, no servers, no network requests, nothing is sent out unless you explicitly export a file. source code: https://github.com/revanthkrishna/salamander ------------------------------------------ what's new in version 2.0.0: salamander is rebuilt from the ground up to now capture screenshots. - screenshot capture: click or drag to select an area. - draw on your screenshots with the pencil to point at the detail. - a sidebar list of your notes, with thumbnails, an enlarged view, and note editing. - a new export format: a zip with a markdown file and png screenshots, written for people and AI agents alike.
