Google Search by Date – Date Filter Bar with Custom Ranges
28 ratings
)Overview
Filter Google search by date & time — on web, Images, Videos & News. 3/6 months, 3 years, this week/month/year, custom ranges.
Google has a filter-by-date tool. It's buried under the Tools menu and stops at "past year." This puts it under the search box as a visible bar and adds the ranges it leaves out. Pick a range and the results reload filtered. For an exact window, it opens Google's own date-range picker rather than a custom one, so it's the calendar you already know. WHAT IT ADDS • Every range in one click: past hour, day, week, month, 3 months, 6 months, year, 3 years. The 3-month, 6-month and 3-year options aren't in Google's own menu. • Calendar presets: this week, this month, this quarter, this year. These snap to the calendar instead of counting back N days. • A custom range through Google's own date picker. • The bar also appears on Images, Videos and News. • An approximate result count at the end of the bar that changes as you tighten the range. • A Verbatim toggle for exact-word searches. • Follows Google's light and dark theme, and doesn't shift the page as it loads. • Localized in 10 languages.
