Overview

Web clipper that saves any page or YouTube video to clean Markdown notes — reader view, local files, no account. Local-first.

NoteLoom turns anything you read or watch into clean, structured Markdown notes, with no server, no account, and no data leaving your browser. 🪟 Distraction-free reader Strip any web page down to its article. Pick from three themes (light, sepia, dark), adjust the font size, typeface, and line width, jump around with an auto-generated table of contents, open images in a lightbox, and read in a resizable side drawer or full screen. Toggle it on any page with Alt+R. 🎬 Video subtitles to a readable transcript Open a YouTube or Bilibili video and NoteLoom pulls the captions into a clean, timestamped transcript. Click any line to jump to that moment, follow along with auto-scroll highlighting, search the whole transcript with Ctrl/Cmd+F, and switch subtitle language right from the reader. Auto-generated captions work too. ✂️ Clip the page to Markdown Send the current article to NoteLoom as clean Markdown, with a preview before you save. NoteLoom writes the file into a local folder you pick, so your notes stay as ordinary .md files on your own disk, ready for any editor or knowledge base. 🌐 Bilingual interface Switch between English and 中文 anytime from the toolbar popup. Your choice is remembered and synced across devices. 🔒 Private by design No server, local-first. Subtitle and article extraction happens in your browser against each site's own endpoints. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account to create, and the extension runs no hidden remote code. Great for distraction-free reading and read-it-later, saving web articles as Markdown, turning video lectures into searchable notes, and building a personal knowledge base or note-taking workflow without leaving the browser.
