Vellum records your online meetings and your screen — locally. It captures your tab (or your whole screen) together with two clean audio tracks, the far side and your own voice, and mixes them live into a file that stays on your computer. No cloud, no meeting bots, no trace. Most meeting recorders send a bot into your call and upload everything to their servers. Vellum does the opposite: it has zero network permissions and never uploads a single byte. Your recordings only exist where you choose to save them. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Record two ways. Tab mode captures a meeting running in the browser — Google Meet, Zoom on the web, Teams on the web — and works on every platform. Screen mode captures the whole screen with system audio, for desktop-app meetings. • Dual-track audio. Your microphone (echo-cancelled and cleaned) and the far side (kept raw) are captured separately and mixed live, with real-time level meters and per-track gain so both sides sound right. • Annotate on the screen. A small floating toolbar — or just hold the ⌥ (Option) key — lets you draw a circle, arrow, box, freehand pen or highlighter directly on the page while you record. Everyone on the call sees it, and it stays in the recording. • Highlight your clicks. Turn on click highlight so viewers can follow exactly where you point. • Trim, then export. Cut the dead seconds off the start and end, export a real MP4 (with an optional Vellum watermark), or save audio only. • Remember your folder. Vellum can save straight to a folder you pick, so you are not prompted every time. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Vellum asks only for the permissions it needs to record and save — capturing the tab, the active tab, local storage for your settings, downloads, and scripting for the on-page annotation overlay. There are no network or host permissions at all. Nothing is uploaded, tracked, or sent home. LANGUAGES Available in English, 繁體中文, Français, 日本語 and 한국어. The interface follows your Chrome language automatically. GOOD TO KNOW • For the cleanest two-track recording, plug in headphones before you start. It stops your microphone from picking up the far side through your speakers, and keeps the two tracks cleanly separated. Vellum is for anyone who records calls, demos, interviews or their screen and wants to keep the file — and their privacy — entirely on their own machine.
