If the page can't host the calculator (some browser-internal pages), you'll get a brief notification explaining the reason instead. * Activate the keyboard: Click the ⌨ button (or any number button, or the display). The ⌨ button turns green — now your keyboard goes to the calculator. Click anywhere on the page to hand the keyboard back (the button turns gray). * Calculate: Enter an expression using the on-screen buttons or your keyboard. - Numbers & operators: 0–9, + - * /, and the decimal point (.), from the main keyboard or numpad. - Enter or = : calculate the result. - Backspace or ⌫ : delete the last character. - Delete or C : clear everything. - Negative numbers are supported (for example, 5 * -3 = -15). * Copy the result: Click the display to copy its current value to the clipboard. It copies a plain number (no thousands separators) so it pastes cleanly into forms and other fields. * Move: Drag the grip handle (⋮⋮) on the right side of the title bar. * Collapse / Restore: Click the "Calculator" title to shrink it to a pill, or click again to bring it back. 🔒 Permissions & Why They're Needed This extension requests only the minimum required to work, and it acts only when you click its icon. It does not read, collect, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit. * activeTab — Lets the extension open or close the calculator on the tab you are currently viewing, at the moment you click the icon. * scripting — Lets the extension place the calculator's interface onto the current page. * storage — Remembers the calculator's position, its collapsed/expanded state, and which pages you have opened it on, so it can restore correctly after a reload. * notifications — Lets the extension show a brief message when a page can't host the calculator (for example, browser-internal pages), so you know why nothing appeared instead of it failing silently. * Access to websites (all URLs) — So the calculator can appear on whatever website you choose to use it on, including internal/intranet sites and IP addresses.
