Turn your Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard or Moodle assignments into a planner with a calendar, class folders and AI study plans.

ScholarOS copies your upcoming assignments out of Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard or Moodle and into a planner you control. The first time you open it, you pick your school from a list or paste the address you log into. Your browser asks you to allow that one web address, and ScholarOS reads nothing else. It asks for no website access when you install it. You can add a second school later, or remove one and hand its access back, in Settings. You sign into your school yourself, the way you always do. ScholarOS has no login screen, never asks for a password, and does not touch Duo or any other two-factor step. Once you are on your school's page, ScholarOS reads the assignments it shows you and lists what it found in a side panel next to it. Nothing is saved until you say so. The Import Inbox shows every assignment it picked up with the title, course, and due date it read, flags the ones it is unsure about, and lets you correct any of them before approving. Approve them one at a time or all at once. Reject the ones you do not want. Every task you keep holds a working link straight back to the original assignment. What you get after that is an ordinary, quiet planner: a calendar, a list, task detail, reminders, and class folders. You can drag a task to reschedule it. You can add tasks by hand for the work your school's system never knew about. Deleting something is undoable. You choose how far ahead it looks when you set it up, and you can change that window in Settings. Desktop notifications can tell you each morning what is due, give you a heads-up a day and two hours before a deadline, and show your reminders at their time. Nothing shows until you press Turn on notifications, and each kind has its own switch in Settings. You can also paste in a link to a document, such as notes, a draft, or a shared folder, and ScholarOS will remember which class it belongs to and offer it back for later assignments in that class. It stores the link and opens it in a tab. It never opens, reads, or downloads the document itself. AI FEATURES Four optional features use AI, and all of them are off until you turn them on. Smart Plan drafts a study schedule for today, or three days, a week, or two weeks ahead, and you can pick any assignment to start early. Every assignment has its own chat for working out how to tackle it, and a reply you like can become that assignment's plan. Paste-to-task turns pasted text into a task. Paste a syllabus reads a syllabus and puts its graded work into your Import Inbox to check before anything is saved. They run on Google's Gemini API using a free API key you create and paste into Settings. Without a key they do nothing and tell you so, and the rest of the extension works exactly as described. GOOGLE CALENDAR Connect Google Calendar in Settings and every due date appears on your calendar as an all-day entry marked free, so your deadlines are on your phone without making you look busy. Your Smart Plan study blocks are added as well. Smart Plan also reads when your other events start and end, never what they are called, and plans around your classes and shifts. ScholarOS only ever changes events it created itself. Nothing happens with Google until you press Connect, and Disconnect revokes the access with Google. Google Calendar sign-in needs Google Chrome. Where your data lives: on your computer. There is no ScholarOS account, no sign-up, no server, and no analytics. Uninstalling deletes everything ScholarOS keeps. What it does not do, and will not learn to do: it does not log into anything for you, it does not bypass or store credentials, and it does not write, complete, or submit your coursework. It is an organiser and a launchpad for your own work. Limitations worth knowing before you install: ScholarOS reads what your school's system shows you, so it can only find what that shows. Canvas, Blackboard and Moodle support is new, and a school with an unusual setup may import less than it should. Notifications only show while your browser is running. Document links are ones you paste in yourself; ScholarOS has no access to Google Drive or any other cloud storage. NEW IN 0.11.0 Desktop notifications: a morning summary of what is due, a heads-up 24 hours and 2 hours before each deadline, your reminders at the time you set, and Smart Plan study sessions if you switch those on. Each kind has its own switch, and they only show while your browser is running. Paste a syllabus and ScholarOS reads a whole term of deadlines into the review inbox for you to check. A chat for each assignment, on your own Gemini key, that helps you work out how to start rather than writing it for you. Google Calendar now puts every due date on your calendar as an all-day entry and builds study plans around the times you are already busy. Documents you attach to a class now show up when you import that class's assignments. Reminders can carry a time of day, and a reminder saved for a date stays on that date wherever in the world you are. PRICING ScholarOS is free to use as a planner, permanently. Finding your assignments, reviewing and correcting them, approving them, the calendar, list, reminders and class folders, and desktop notifications are not gated and never expire. The AI features are free too, running on a free Google Gemini API key you supply yourself. A one-time $2.99 purchase unlocks Google Calendar, document suggestions and link attachment, course memory across the semester, and one-click workspace launch. Everything is unlocked for a 14-day trial that starts when you install, with no card, no account, and no email address. When the trial ends the paid features switch off and the free ones keep working. Nothing you already saved is removed or locked away. If you connected Google Calendar before version 0.11.0, when it was free, you keep sending study plans to it free. Due dates on your calendar and planning around your busy times are part of the unlock for everyone. Payment is a one-time charge handled by Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing renews. You receive a licence key and paste it into Settings, where it is checked on your own device.
