Overview

Accessibility Audit & Evidence Platform for websites and EPUB publications.

UCS A11yAllies is an accessibility audit, evidence and verification platform for websites and EPUB publications. It brings automated accessibility checking, manual review, evidence capture, retesting and reporting into one workspace. WHAT IT DOES • Identify WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA accessibility issues through automated scanning. • Audit website pages and organize findings in projects. • Audit an EPUB file locally without uploading the publication to UCS. • Review findings with severity, status, WCAG success criterion and affected-element information. • Inspect affected elements and capture screenshots as evidence. • Record reviewer judgements through Manual Audit and Guided Testing where automated checks alone cannot determine the result. • Record audit runs and compare retests to see what was fixed, what is new, what persists and what changed. • Generate accessibility audit reports for review, remediation and documentation. • Export portable audit data that can be opened on another machine. AUTOMATION AND HUMAN REVIEW Automated accessibility checking cannot determine every accessibility issue. Some requirements require human review, assistive-technology testing or professional judgement. A11yAllies combines automated findings with structured Manual Audit and Guided Testing workflows so reviewers can investigate issues, capture evidence and record their decisions. A Guided Testing judgement is a reviewer decision. It is not presented as an automatically detected result or as proof of WCAG conformance. WEBSITE AND EPUB AUDITING Website content is analyzed in the browser when an audit is started. Findings, projects, evidence and related audit records are stored locally. EPUB files selected for auditing are processed locally. The EPUB publication itself is not uploaded to UCS. A11yAllies provides local evidence capture and reporting so accessibility findings can be documented and shared with the people responsible for remediation. RETEST & COMPARE Completed audits can be recorded as audit runs. Retest & Compare helps reviewers compare runs and identify findings that were fixed, newly detected, persistent or changed. Comparison results support accessibility verification and remediation tracking but do not establish accessibility conformance. WHAT THIS RELEASE DOES NOT DO • It does not test screen-reader behaviour. Results that depend on what a screen reader announces must be verified separately. • It does not provide accessibility certification or automatically establish WCAG conformance. • It does not claim to identify every accessibility issue. • It does not upload audited page content, accessibility findings, evidence screenshots, EPUB content or generated reports as part of the current audit workflow. FREE Free includes Scan Current Page, Website Audit, Projects, Local Evidence, Manual Finding, Manual Audit, EPUB Audit, HTML export and XLSX export. PROFESSIONAL Professional additionally includes Guided Testing, CSV, JSON, DOCX and ZIP export, Finding Assignment and watermark removal. PRIVACY Website and EPUB audit content is primarily processed locally. Projects, accessibility findings, page information, evidence screenshots, EPUB audit records and generated reports are stored locally and are not uploaded as part of the current audit workflow. A11yAllies requires an account for authentication and plan management. Account information is transmitted as required for authentication and entitlement management. For plans that use page-based metering, limited usage information may be sent to UCS account services. This consists of the number of pages audited and the type of scan performed. The address of the page being audited is not transmitted as part of usage metering. The current Free plan does not transmit usage-metering information. Usage information is used for account entitlement and applicable plan-limit management and is not used for advertising or behavioural analytics. For complete information about data handling, see the A11yAllies Privacy Policy.
