Web Sentinel checks the website in your current tab and shows a risk score from 0 to 100: Safe, Suspicious, or High risk. Open the toolbar icon and the check starts immediately. You see the hostname, a short explanation, and a list of the factors that moved the score. What it looks at • HTTPS vs HTTP • TLS certificate valid or missing, and whether it expires soon • How new the domain is • Whether the domain record was updated recently What it does not do • It does not block pages or change how you browse • It does not read the page, forms, cookies, or passwords • It does not record your history or show ads Privacy When you check an http or https site, only the origin is sent (for example https://example.com). The path and query stay on your device. Chrome settings, the Web Store, and local files are not sent anywhere. A Safe result is not a guarantee the site is trustworthy. A High risk result is a warning, not a legal finding. New but legitimate sites, campus portals, and unusual certificates can look Suspicious. Do not enter passwords or payment details if the verdict is High risk. Web Sentinel is an advisory tool to help you pause before you log in or pay.
