TabGroupsLeash
Overview
Keep tab groups on a leash: links that don't match your pattern for that tab open in a new tab outside the group.
TabGroupsLeash keeps your Chrome tab groups exactly the way you built them. Decide, tab by tab, which URL pattern its clicked links must stay inside. A link that matches navigates normally — one that doesn't opens in a new tab outside the group, leaving the tab you were on untouched. No more random pages dragged into a carefully organized group by one stray click. Key features: - Per-tab rules, not one blanket pattern per group — tab groups mix unrelated sites, so you decide page by page which ones are leashed. - Cross-device sync via Chrome's own storage.sync — no account, no backend, nothing leaves your browser. - Recover from accidental closes: give any rule a URL to reopen automatically if that tab goes missing, checked once on every browser startup (never mid-session, so closing a tab on purpose is never undone). - Optional cleanup: close tabs that don't match any of a group's declared rules during that same startup check (off by default). - Light and dark theme, a dedicated manage page for editing every group's rules in one place, and a lightweight popup showing rule counts at a glance.
