Bookmark Home turns Chrome's empty new tab into a fast, private dashboard of all your bookmarks, laid out the way you organised them, searchable in an instant, and yours alone. Choose the view that suits you. The classic folder sidebar with a card grid, or a tile home where each folder is a page you swipe through and every site is a sharp app icon. KEY FEATURES Three layouts: classic sidebar and cards, square app tiles, or wide banner cards. A folder per page: swipe left and right with the trackpad, drag, or use the arrow keys. Prefer one long page? Switch to continuous scroll, where each folder heading pins as you pass it. Sharp icons at any size: 2,200 bundled brand logos drawn as vectors, so tiles stay crisp on any screen. Sites without one get their name set as a wordmark in type chosen to suit the brand, never a blurry upscaled favicon. Your wallpaper, your colours: pick a preset or upload your own image. The accent colour is sampled from it, so the whole page matches. Instant search: start typing to filter every bookmark by name or URL. Press the slash key to focus the search box from anywhere. Command palette: press Ctrl+K, or Command+K on Mac, to fuzzy search and open any bookmark without touching the mouse. Pin your favourites: your most used sites as the first page, one click away. Reorder your folders: drag a folder anywhere, in the sidebar, the folder rail, or by its page heading. Manage in place: rename, edit, create or delete bookmarks and folders right from the page. Find duplicates: spot and clean up anything saved more than once. Light, dark, or follow the system: it remembers your choice. Greeting and clock: the time and a word for the hour, both optional. Sort your way: default order, A to Z, or most recently added. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Bookmark Home has no servers and no analytics. It does not track you, and your bookmarks and settings never leave your device. Settings are stored locally in your browser. Out of the box it makes no network requests at all. Bookmark icons come from the bundled logo set or from Chrome's own favicons. Two optional icon sources stay switched off until you turn them on in Customize: Fetch icons from the site itself, which asks a site for its high resolution icon, one image request to that site. logo.dev, for brands with no bundled logo. It needs your own token, and Chrome asks your permission before it is used. Turn either one off and the requests stop. PERMISSIONS Bookmarks: to display and let you manage your bookmarks. Favicons: to show each site's icon, read from Chrome's local favicon store. Top sites: for the optional most visited row. Access to img.logo.dev, optional: only requested if you turn the logo.dev source on, and revoked when you turn it off. ICON CREDITS Bundled brand icons come from Simple Icons, released under CC0 1.0.
