LinguaCap turns the subtitles you are already watching into language practice. Two lines under the video — the original and your own language — and every word on them is one click from an explanation. WHERE IT WORKS • YouTube, Netflix, Apple TV+ and Bilibili • TED talks, with the full transcript • Any site with an HTML5 video player and a VTT or SRT track • Your own .srt or .vtt file, uploaded to the tab you are watching, with a timing offset when the file runs ahead or behind • Song lyrics on Spotify and Yandex Music DUAL SUBTITLES LinguaCap draws its own subtitles over the player instead of the native ones, so the two languages stay on one line stack rather than fighting for the same corner. Pick which track is the original and which is the translation, put the translation on top if you read it first, and let LinguaCap translate automatically when a video offers no second track at all. Font, size, colour and background are yours to set, by preset or one property at a time. ONE CLICK ON A WORD Click a word or select a phrase and a card opens over the player: the meaning, the part of speech, examples, synonyms, and the sentence it came from. Hear it read aloud. Save it and it goes into your dictionary, searchable, split into words and phrases, and synced with the LinguaCap apps on iPhone and Android. THE TRANSCRIPT Open the whole transcript beside the video — in the browser's side panel or as a drawer over the player. It follows playback, jumps back to the current line when you have scrolled away, and every line can be translated, spoken, copied or saved on its own. MUSIC On Spotify and Yandex Music the song text is translated line by line beside the original. Slow a track down without the voice changing pitch, and swap which language sits on top. THE INTERFACE LinguaCap speaks 18 interface languages and translates between 65. It opens in the browser's own side panel, or as an overlay over the page in browsers that have no side panel — Edge, Brave, Opera and Yandex Browser all run the same build. Light, dark, or whatever the browser is set to. ACCOUNT AND PLANS LinguaCap needs an account; sign in with Google or Apple. The free plan carries daily quotas for AI translations, word translations and lyric lines, and a ceiling on saved words — the panel always shows what is left and when it resets. Pro removes all of them, in the browser and in the phone apps. What is available depends on the site and on the subtitles it publishes.
