Boost volume up to 600%, improve voices with ready-made presets, adjust sound with a 10-band equalizer and remember your preferred settings for different websites. Audio processing happens locally on your device. No account, advertising, analytics, telemetry or audio uploads. 🔊 VOLUME BOOST UP TO 600% Increase the audio level of supported browser tabs from 100% up to 600%. Use the volume slider for precise control or quickly select: 100% • 125% • 150% • 200% • 300% • 600% Safe Boost is enabled by default to help control excessive audio peaks at higher volume levels. The 600% setting is a maximum processing level, not a recommended everyday listening level. Available frequency bands: 31 Hz • 62 Hz • 125 Hz • 250 Hz • 500 Hz 1 kHz • 2 kHz • 4 kHz • 8 kHz • 16 kHz Each band can be adjusted from -12 dB to +12 dB. For faster adjustments, use the simplified Bass, Mid and Treble controls. You can also save up to 24 custom EQ presets for your preferred sound profiles. 🛡️ SAFE BOOST Safe Boost applies local dynamic control to help manage excessive peaks when using higher volume settings. Safe Boost can reduce unnecessary clipping and sudden level spikes, but it does not replace responsible listening. Per-site memory can be disabled from the extension settings. The extension may temporarily use the active tab’s title and hostname to display active-audio tabs inside its interface. Optional per-site preferences store the website hostname and selected audio settings locally on your device. Smoothy Sound does not collect passwords, cookies, private messages, form submissions or the written contents of websites. 🔐 WHY PERMISSIONS ARE NEEDED Storage: Saves preferences, custom presets and optional per-site settings locally. Side Panel: Displays the complete Smoothy Sound controls beside the active tab. Active Tab: Allows the extension to interact with the tab selected by the user. Tab Capture: Allows local tab-audio processing when page-level processing is unavailable. Audio is not recorded or uploaded. Offscreen: Allows local audio processing to continue when the popup or side panel is closed. Website Access: Allows Smoothy Sound to detect and process HTML5 audio and video elements on regular web pages. 🌐 COMPATIBILITY Smoothy Sound is designed for modern Google Chrome and uses Manifest V3. It works best with websites that use standard HTML5 audio and video playback. Some content may not support browser-level audio processing, including: • DRM-protected media • Restricted browser pages • Some protected or cross-origin audio sources • Websites using unsupported playback methods Chrome internal pages and some protected content cannot be modified by browser extensions. ⚠️ LISTEN RESPONSIBLY Very high volume can damage hearing, headphones or speakers. 600% is a maximum processing level and is not recommended for normal everyday listening.
