Salvage warns you before you accidentally send ERC-20 tokens to a smart contract address instead of a wallet. It's the single most common way crypto tokens get lost forever. Any Ethereum, Base, or Arc address looks identical whether it's a wallet or a contract. There's no built-in warning, and once tokens land in a contract that wasn't built to receive or return them, they're usually stuck for good: no refund, no support ticket, no way back. This extension catches the mistake before it happens: • Watches address fields on any page you're already using: exchanges, DeFi apps, wallets, block explorers • The moment you paste or type a full address, it checks whether that address has contract code on Ethereum, Base, or Arc • If it does, a small warning appears right next to the field, before you hit send • Use the toolbar icon (or Alt+Shift+S / Cmd+Shift+S) to check any address manually, any time Privacy: this extension only ever sends the address you're checking to Salvage's own API (usesalvage.xyz) to look up whether it's a contract, nothing else you type, no browsing history, no analytics, no third-party trackers.
