XPilot

Blocks every ad on X before it loads: promoted posts, trends and video ads. Plus an Ideas panel, follower counts and time on X.

XPilot is an ad blocker and toolkit for X (Twitter). It removes every ad on x.com and adds the tools you wish Twitter had: an Ideas panel beside your feed, one-click saving of posts, follower counts on every post, and a counter for your time on X. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is collected and nothing leaves your computer. BLOCK EVERY AD ON X (TWITTER) • Promoted posts in For you, Following, lists, replies, search, profiles and the video viewer • Promoted accounts in Who to follow and promoted trends • Explore's promoted event hero and the video ads X plays before videos • Premium's promo cards in the sidebar and the timeline Ads are removed from X's own responses before they are drawn, so promoted tweets never flash on screen. A CSS layer catches anything that still reaches the page. IDEAS — A TO-DO CHAT NEXT TO YOUR FEED A simple chat-style list in the sidebar for jotting down ideas while you browse: post ideas, threads to write, links to read later. Tick them off, edit, copy or reorder them. Stays in sync across your x.com tabs. SAVE ANY POST OR TWEET TO IDEAS A lightbulb in every post's action bar saves it to Ideas as a quoted card with the author, text and a link back. Click again to remove it, with Undo. FOLLOWER COUNTS ON EVERY POST See each author's following and follower counts right in the post header, like 812 | 12.4K, with the exact numbers on hover. The counts come from the data X already sends, so no extra requests. TIME ON X Counts the time you actually spend on X each day and shows today's total in the Ideas header, with a stopwatch dial. It only counts while an X tab is on screen and you are at the computer. Saved per day, on your device. CUSTOM SIDEBAR Replaces X's right column with XPilot's panel and hides the floating Grok and Chat buttons, with more room on wide screens. OPTIONAL, OFF BY DEFAULT • Inline Follow buttons: a small Follow button on posts by people you don't follow yet • New people only: hide posts by people you already follow from For you, so you only see new people EVERY FEATURE HAS A SWITCH Click the XPilot icon for a grid of feature tiles. Turn all of XPilot on or off with one switch, or each feature on its own. Changes apply to open X tabs immediately. PRIVACY No account, no servers, no analytics, no third parties. Settings, ideas, saved posts and time records are stored only in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. XPilot runs only on x.com. Designed for X's Lights out theme and works with the Default and Dim themes too. XPilot was previously published as X Mate — Ad Blocker for X. Ad blocking is still on by default and works the same way: nothing to set up.
