Whistle Unsafe Products is a safe shopping companion for recognised online marketplaces. It helps you check before you buy, understand available listing signals and flag a potentially unsafe, recalled, untraceable, fake or copied product listing for controlled human review. Safe shopping features: • Check aggregate FOLO-UP listing signals before buying. • Open fixed category-level Thwartly guidance selected locally from the public product title, description and category. • Flag a listing with one clear concern reason. • Keep browser-only receipts for accepted reports. • Choose whether to continue to a full FOLO-UP report with your details. One clear reporting step covers: • Safety or compliance concern • Cannot trace it / looks copied • Failed or broke — no injury • Injury or dangerous incident • Unsafe design, materials or construction • Other — with a short explanation When the Whistle panel or popup is shown on a recognised listing, it reads the public product title, description and category locally to select the fixed, packaged guidance. Those product details and the marketplace address are not put into the Thwartly link or sent to Thwartly. Whistle purifies the listing address to remove referral and tracking noise. It captures the available public listing snapshot only after you choose to report, then sends a listing signal to the FOLO-UP intelligence intake for evidence capture and controlled human review. After the signal is accepted, you can leave it as an anonymous listing signal or deliberately continue to the full FOLO-UP report. The full-report option uses a short-lived, single-use secure handoff so listing details can be pre-filled without placing them in the link. You choose what contact, incident, hazard and evidence information to add. Feedback is not guaranteed. Public “My Whistle Reports” receipts stay only in that browser installation. They do not create an account or synchronise to another device, and they are permanently lost if the extension or its local data is removed. Whistle reports are unverified concerns, not confirmed safety, authenticity, compliance, infringement or legal findings. Aggregate counts show concern volume only.
