ParsiPad is an AI-powered Persian and English translator that lives in your browser. Point at a paragraph to translate it, select a phrase for a translation that understands the sentence around it, learn the grammar behind it, and keep the words you want to remember. You bring your own API key from Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT. Your text goes to the provider you chose and nowhere else. There is no ParsiPad account, no server of ours in the middle, and nothing is stored outside your own browser. Point at anything to translate it Rest your pointer on a paragraph, a post, or a heading, and a small icon appears at its corner. Click it and the Persian arrives directly underneath, with the original left in place so you can read both together. - The icon waits until you actually stop on something, so ordinary browsing stays quiet - It never offers to translate text that is already in your own language - Point at a heading and the whole section translates, each paragraph's Persian sitting under that paragraph rather than piling up at the end - The translation takes its colours from the page behind it, so it stays readable on dark sites and light ones alike - Your original page is never altered. The translation is added beside it, never on top of it - Works everywhere with no setup. Press Alt+B to translate without a mouse, and switch the whole thing off in Settings if you would rather Select any text Highlight a word or a passage on any page and get a translation that reads the sentence around it before deciding what the words mean. Persian to English and English to Persian, direction detected automatically. A word gives you its senses by part of speech, the one that fits your sentence first, with pronunciation and worked examples. A sentence gives you labelled alternatives. Longer passages stream in as they arrive rather than making you wait. Text in other languages can be translated into Persian too, if you turn that on. Whole pages Translate an entire page in place with Alt+P or the right-click menu, then toggle between the original and the translation whenever you like. Progress shows as it goes, and you can stop it at any point. Works on images, banners, and text you cannot select - Images: upload a file or paste one straight from your clipboard. JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 5MB - Documents: upload a .txt file and translate it in full, with progress as it works and the finished file ready to download Dictionary Look up any word with Alt+D or the right-click menu for definitions with example sentences, IPA pronunciation, synonyms and antonyms, and the Persian or English equivalent. Click to see the grammar points behind it without leaving the page, or open the full lesson for something deeper: - Explanations, examples, and quiz questions are all in English, so you study in the language you are learning - Quiz answers are built around the mistakes Persian speakers actually make in English: word order, missing articles, the wrong preposition, phrases translated too literally - Compare and contrast sections show where the two languages handle the same idea differently - Register badges mark what is formal and what is not - A common mistakes section for the errors worth catching early - Listen to English pronunciation on any English text - Save any lesson to review later Polish your own writing Rewrite anything you have written in three registers, professional, conversational, or concise, and regenerate any of them if the first attempt is not right. Save what is worth keeping Star any translation, polished passage, or grammar lesson, and it goes to your favourites. Your saved words then become your new tab page. Each new tab shows one of them in large Persian or English type, with the time and a greeting in both languages above it. Click the word to reveal the original. Three panels turn on and off independently, so the page shows what you want and nothing more: - Cards: your saved translations, one per tab, navigable from the keyboard - Bookmarks: your Chrome bookmarks as a searchable folder tree, tucked into a drawer that opens with the "/" key and stays out of the way otherwise - Most visited: your most used sites as tiles. This one is optional and is only switched on if you ask for it. Site icons come from your browser's own cache rather than an outside service, so the list of sites you visit is never sent anywhere History Everything you translate, polish, or look up stays in a searchable history, organised by date. Click any entry to bring it back. Choose your AI - Claude by Anthropic, for nuance - Gemini by Google, for speed - ChatGPT by OpenAI, for versatility Switch whenever you like. Repeated lookups are cached, so the same word costs you nothing the second time. Know what you are spending A usage dashboard shows estimated cost per provider, broken down by what you actually did: translations, polishes, dictionary lookups, documents, images, and grammar lessons. View the last week, the last month, or everything, and export it as JSON. Reach it however suits you - The floating popup when you select text, which you can switch off - The right-click menu, for translating, polishing, dictionary lookups, whole pages, and screenshots - Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+T to translate, Alt+D for the dictionary, Alt+P for the page, Alt+S for a screenshot region, Alt+B for the block you are pointing at, all of them remappable - The toolbar popup, with tabs for text, dictionary, documents, and images Made to live with Dark mode that follows your system, full right-to-left layout for Persian, and an interface you can read in English or Persian. Export your favourites, history, and cache to a JSON file and import it again on another machine, merging with what is there or replacing it. Privacy - Your API keys never leave your device - No accounts, no tracking, no analytics of you - History and favourites are stored locally in your browser - To decide where to offer a translate icon, ParsiPad reads the page you are on, entirely inside your browser. That text is never sent anywhere.
