Quick HTTP/SOCKS proxy switcher — paste, test, and toggle proxies from one popup. All local, no telemetry.

A deliberately minimal proxy switcher. One popup, three things: ADD PROXY — Paste-import works on every common format: • scheme://user:pass@host:port • user:pass@host:port • host:port:user:pass • host:port Multiple lines at a time work. Protocols (HTTP / HTTPS / SOCKS4 / SOCKS5) are auto-detected and auto-corrected after a failed test. TEST PROXY — One-tap connectivity check. Reports the visible egress IP, country, protocol, and latency. Latency is color-coded — green under 250 ms, amber under 700 ms, red beyond that — so the proxy list reads like a speed dial. Failed protocol guesses are automatically retried as HTTP → SOCKS5 → SOCKS4 and the working scheme is saved. TOGGLE — A giant pill switch with optimistic UI: the knob slides instantly on tap, then the proxy is applied behind the scenes. The toolbar icon changes color (gray off, blue on) so you can read state at a glance from outside the popup. Other things this extension does: • Sortable list (recent first, or grouped by protocol). Your choice is remembered across opens. • Per-row USE / ACTIVE / Test / Delete actions. Activating a proxy never reorders the list — entries stay where you left them. • Country flag, IP, latency, and protocol shown under the switch when connected. • Light theme only, designed for a 380px popup. No dashboard, no settings page. Privacy: • No accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics. • Everything is stored in chrome.storage.local. Uninstalling the extension removes it. • The only outbound request the extension makes on your behalf is when you tap Test on a proxy — a single HTTPS lookup to ipwho.is through the proxy under test, to read back the visible IP and country.
