Subshack is the Substack analytics and growth extension that closes that gap: stats for your own Notes and articles, the people behind the numbers, a profile audit that scores any public Substack profile out of 100, and campaigns and welcome messages that you set up and stay in control of. It uses the Substack session you are already signed in with. No sign-up, no password. PEOPLE, NOT PERCENTAGES • Opens, clicks and new subscribers are shown as counts of people, next to the rate — so a growing list never reads as a decline. • Every figure comes from your own account and can be checked against Substack's own screens. No invented score. SUBSTACK NOTES ANALYTICS • Every Note in one sortable table — impressions, new subscribers, engagement. • Your best-performing formats and posting hours, measured against your own baseline — the Substack insights the platform does not give you. SUBSTACK POST STATS • Your published articles side by side: views, opens, clicks and the subscribers each post brought in. AUDIENCE • Followers and subscribers kept apart: following your profile and subscribing to your publication are two different things. • The readers who engage with your Notes, with the public Substack profile behind each name, and segments you define. TODAY • See what to do next, with the evidence behind each action: conversations needing a reply, follow-ups due today, profile fixes, content opportunities and relationship actions. • Audit actions open the exact profile setting, Note, article or filtered list concerned. Nothing is sent from Today. CONVERSATIONS AND FOLLOW-UPS • Conversations are sorted by what they actually need: incoming questions, open discussions, conversations explicitly waiting for the other person, and completed exchanges. • Thank-yous and conclusions are marked resolved instead of incorrectly appearing as “Waiting for them”. • Follow-ups have their own dated agenda and return to Today only when they become due. • Suggested replies wait for your review and click. IN-CONTEXT CRM ON SUBSTACK • A compact assistant appears beside the conversation you are already reading. • See available subscriber status, engagement, recommendation relationship and open rate without leaving Substack. • Add a private CRM note stored only on your device, or schedule a dated follow-up. Both immediately reappear in Subshack. • Subshack never clicks native Subscribe, Follow or Recommend buttons automatically. AUTOMATE • Campaigns — write one message and choose the Substack group chats or readers who should receive it. • Welcome — create separate messages for new subscribers and new followers. • Nothing is sent until you configure it. Campaigns start only when you press Start sending. Welcome messages remain drafts unless you explicitly enable automatic sending. • Sending respects delays, quiet hours, daily safety limits and the Never contact list. CAMPAIGN MODE • On Substack, Facebook Groups, Reddit and X, copy your campaign message and link, tracked for the place you share it. It reads the page address only — it never posts or messages there. SUBSTACK PROFILE AUDIT • Score any public Substack profile out of 100 against a checklist — bio, publication, links, recent activity — and get concrete fixes. FREE TO USE • One publication, your latest 50 Notes and 10 articles, 2 active campaigns, up to 20 direct or campaign DMs per day, a separate shared allowance of up to 30 Welcome messages per day for subscribers and followers, and 2 group posts per day. WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES • Settings, CRM notes, follow-up dates and working caches are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. • Private account backup is enabled by default for new users and can be disabled in Settings → Privacy. Existing disabled choices remain disabled. • While backup is enabled, supported Notes, articles, statistics, audience records and subscriber data are copied to the user’s private Subshack account. The Substack session and cookies are never stored or transmitted. • When an AI feature is used, only the conversation or content required for that request is sent to our backend and AI provider. Private CRM notes are never sent to the server or an AI model. • Anonymous usage analytics and a masked replay of Subshack’s own interface help improve the product.
