Nexus: AI Browser Agent — Automate Chrome Tabs with Natural Language
Overview
AI Chrome extension: automate tabs with natural language—click, type, navigate & extract. Claude, GPT, Grok, Ollama. Local keys.
Give your browser a goal Nexus is an AI browser agent that turns natural-language instructions into visible, controllable actions in Chrome. Ask it to research a topic, compare products, summarize the current page, organize tabs, find something in your history, monitor a future result, or complete a multi-step browser workflow. You describe the outcome. Nexus plans the steps. What Nexus can do Research the web and return cited answers Read and summarize pages Navigate, click, type, scroll, and inspect websites Compare information across multiple sources Search browser history and downloads when requested Organize, open, and close tabs Schedule reminders and public-result monitors Deliver completed scheduled work to a built-in inbox Record reusable prompts as slash commands Keep searchable conversation and action history Accept voice dictation and mid-task guidance Reusable slash commands Save instructions you use often, then invoke them from the composer: /football-check Team /compare-products noise-cancelling headphones under $Amount /summarize-page Nexus expands the saved instruction while keeping the original command visible in your conversation history. Scheduling without keeping a task open When information will only become available later, Nexus can create a durable scheduled task instead of actively waiting. For example: “Tell me the final score after tonight’s match.” Nexus can check public sources after the event, retry within an approved time window, and place the verified result in your notification inbox. Scheduled work survives browser restarts and resumes when Chrome is running again. Bring your preferred model Connect Nexus directly to supported providers, including: Compatible custom endpoints Choose separate models for complex browser work and quick answers. Cloud providers require your own API key and may charge for usage. Stay in control Nexus makes its work visible: Inspect every browser action and result Steer an active task without restarting Stop a run at any time Require approval for risky actions—or every action Block specific websites Disable screenshots and visual analysis Review the Chrome debugger banner while a tab is controlled Nexus is designed to assist, not quietly operate in the background. Local-first privacy Nexus has no application backend, advertising system, or telemetry pipeline. Settings, API keys, conversations, memories, saved prompts, schedules, and inbox items are stored locally in your Chrome profile. Model requests travel directly to the provider or endpoint you configure. Public research omits browser credentials. Optional features such as weather, voice transcription, and subscription-usage meters connect only to the services required for those features. A detailed Privacy Policy is available from Settings. A calmer way to use the web Fewer repetitive clicks. Fewer forgotten follow-ups. Less tab chaos. Tell Nexus what done looks like—and keep control of how it gets there.
