Stockfish Continue to Play

After a game ends on Chess.com, continue the position vs Stockfish AI on the same page. One click, automatic.

You're up a piece, the position is finally getting fun, and your opponent resigns. Or lets the clock run out, or just disconnects. The game is over and you never got to actually play it. That's the whole reason this exists. When a game ends on Chess.com, a "Continue vs Computer" button shows up on the game-over screen. Click it and you keep playing the same position against Stockfish, on the same board. No redirect, no new tab, no setup. Stockfish takes the other side and the game keeps going. What you can do: Finish a game someone quit. They resigned, flagged on time, or rage-quit? Play it out to a real result instead of wondering how it would have gone. Continue from any point in the game, not just the final position. Step back to any move and play it forward against the engine to see how a different line works out. Works on old games too, not only the one you just finished. Open a game from your history, jump to any position in it, and start playing from there against Stockfish. Face an opponent at your level. Stockfish's strength is set to the Elo of the player who left, so it plays like the game you were actually in, not a bot that's way too strong or too weak. Play on the board you already know. Click or drag, castle by dropping the king on the rook, promote with the usual picker. It works the way Chess.com already works. No PGN exports, no analysis tab. One thing worth saying: this only does anything once a game is over. It stays completely quiet while you're playing a live game. It's for practice, not for cheating. It's free and open source (GPLv3). Stockfish runs inside your browser with WebAssembly, so it works offline and nothing you play ever leaves your computer. No account, no ads, no tracking. How to use it: 1. Play or open a game on Chess.com. 2. Click "Continue vs Computer" on the game-over screen. 3. Keep playing. A small badge shows whose turn it is. Click it to stop whenever you want. It only runs on chess.com. It reads the board and adds one button, that's it. No network requests, no data leaving your machine. The source is public on GitHub if you want to check it.
