Overview

Recognize common static text and one-step arithmetic CAPTCHAs offline, then fill safely or ask for confirmation.

Captcha Helper is a privacy-first browser extension that handles two common CAPTCHA workflows directly on your device: static text recognition and an optional puzzle-slider Beta. For static CAPTCHAs, the extension supports digits, English letters, alphanumeric strings, and one-step integer arithmetic. Recognition can be started from the extension popup, an image context-menu command, or a configured mouse action. When Captcha Helper finds one suitable empty input field and the recognition result is reliable, it can fill in the result automatically. It never clicks login, confirmation, or submit buttons, and it never submits forms. If the result or input-field match is uncertain, the extension stops and leaves the decision to the user. The puzzle-slider Beta supports common single-gap horizontal puzzle challenges on desktop Chrome and Edge. Slider handling can be enabled for all HTTP/HTTPS websites or only for selected websites. On an enabled website, the extension waits for one visible slider, checks that the page and user input are stable, locates the gap, and sends one browser-level drag. A manual check is also available from the popup. Puzzle-slider handling uses the browser debugger permission only while sending the required mouse press, movement, and release events. The connection is detached after every successful, failed, cancelled, or interrupted attempt. If the challenge changes, multiple sliders are present, the location is uncertain, or the user is interacting with the page, the extension stops instead of guessing. Static recognition and slider analysis run locally inside the browser using bundled resources. CAPTCHA images, screenshots, recognition results, slider locations, website permissions, extension settings, and diagnostic records are not uploaded to the developer or any third-party solving service. Users remain in control of website access. Static recognition and puzzle sliders have separate settings. You can grant access to all websites or maintain an exact list of websites, and you can review or remove authorized websites at any time. Captcha Helper requires no account, contains no advertising, uses no telemetry, and does not track browsing activity. Local diagnostic records are sanitized, limited in number, and can be cleared from the settings page. Supported static CAPTCHA formats: • Digits • English letters • Alphanumeric strings • One-step integer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and exact division Puzzle-slider Beta scope: • Desktop Chrome and Edge • Single visible challenge • Single-gap horizontal puzzle sliders • Manual handling or automatic handling on user-configured websites Captcha Helper does not support image-selection challenges, multi-step mathematics, animated CAPTCHAs, multi-gap puzzles, click-in-order challenges, or general behavioral verification. CAPTCHA implementations vary between websites, so successful recognition or slider completion cannot be guaranteed. When confidence is insufficient, the extension prioritizes safety and does not perform an automatic action.
