SiteHandoff checks a website just before handoff and surfaces the mistakes that are easy to miss: placeholder copy, broken forms and links, staging leftovers, SEO problems, accessibility issues, performance mistakes and missing tracking integrations. WHAT IT CHECKS SiteHandoff runs 36 current-page checks across seven areas: • Content — placeholder text, TODO/FIXME notes, "coming soon" copy, example addresses, dead links and placeholder images • Forms — broken actions, insecure submissions, fields that will not submit, missing submit controls and staging endpoints • Technical — viewport, noindex, mixed content, localhost/staging links and character encoding • SEO — title, description, canonical, title length, H1 structure, heading order and social preview • Accessibility — image alt text, accessible names, labels, iframe titles, duplicate IDs and page language • Performance — image dimensions, lazy loading and render-blocking scripts • Tracking — detection of common analytics and pixels Whole-site scans add 4 cross-page checks for duplicate titles/descriptions, broken internal links and redirects — 40 checks in total when a whole-site scan is included. FREE The Free plan requires no account and includes: • every single-page QA check • Ready Score, findings, evidence and suggested fixes • whole-site scans up to 25 pages • the most recent report/scan stored locally A Free-only installation that has never started an upgrade does not contact the SiteHandoff licensing service. PRO SiteHandoff Pro costs €5.99/month or €49.99/year and currently unlocks: • unlimited whole-site crawling • client-ready handover report export • browser print-to-PDF workflow • optional reporter name/contact on the handover report Checkout and subscription management are hosted by Stripe. Payment-card details never enter the extension. The SiteHandoff publisher is the seller of Pro; Google is not the seller or payment processor. Subscription terms and the refund policy are available from the plan panel before and after purchase. PRIVACY-FIRST AUDITING Audits run locally. SiteHandoff does not upload page HTML, audited URLs, findings, Ready Scores or reports to its licensing service or to Stripe. If you start a Pro upgrade, SiteHandoff creates a random installation identifier plus a separate high-entropy license credential. The backend stores only a one-way hash of that credential. Stripe receives a signed checkout reference derived from the installation ID and credential hash; entitlement checks require the original local credential. A verified Pro status has a 72-hour offline grace period. Whole-site crawling fetches pages only from the site you explicitly chose, without browser cookies, and respects robots.txt. Passwords, form values and credential-shaped attributes are redacted before they can reach stored findings or exported reports. SITE ACCESS The extension normally uses activeTab for the page where you invoke SiteHandoff. Whole-site scans request optional access to the selected site at runtime. On Chrome 133+, if the side panel was opened without an activeTab grant, Chrome can instead surface a native site-access request for the current tab. SiteHandoff does not receive blanket access to all sites. ONE HONEST LIMITATION Accessibility findings are automated checks only. They catch common mistakes but do not establish WCAG compliance. Manual accessibility testing is still required.
