Learn words through repeated exposure Slowingo is a vocabulary builder for Chrome. It brings the words on your learning list back to you throughout the day, so you see, hear and type them again and again while you browse. Choose the language you are learning and your native language from 65 supported languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Turkish and Japanese. KEY FEATURES 🔔 Word reminders A word card pops up at the interval you choose (every 30 minutes by default). Need to focus? Pause reminders for 1 to 24 hours. 🖼️ Picture word cards Every word comes with an image. Use the standard landscape card or a portrait wallpaper style such as watercolor, pixel art or chalkboard, or let Slowingo pick a different style for each word. ✍️ Spelling practice Type the word and watch each letter turn green or red as you go. Press Enter when you know a word to mark it as learned. 🔊 Pronunciation Hear each word read aloud where text-to-speech is available for your language. 📚 Your word list Browse your words in the Chrome side panel, search, filter by category, and mark words as learned or not learned. 🎮 WordRain typing game Type the falling words before they reach the ground. Five lives, rising speed, combo multipliers and a high score, all built from the words you have already learned. 🖨️ Printable word cards Print your words as cards with lines for practicing them by hand. 🌙 Dark and light themes ☁️ Sync with the Slowingo mobile app Sign in with Google or Apple to keep your progress the same in Chrome and the Slowingo mobile app. Signed-in users also get a daily cloud backup and can sync manually at any time. Slowingo is a word-practice tool, not a full language course. PRIVACY You can use Slowingo without an account. If you sign in, your account identifier and learning progress are stored with Firebase and Cloudflare so they can be synced. Pronunciation audio may be generated by Google text-to-speech services.
