Vela is an AI PDF assistant in Chrome's side panel. Open a PDF and ask it anything — what a contract says about notice, the main findings of a paper, the total on an invoice. Every answer shows the page it came from; click the page number and the PDF jumps there. OPENS ANY PDF • PDFs you open in Chrome are picked up on their own and ready in a second. Their text is read on your computer. • PDFs saved on your computer: drop the file on the panel, or pick it with the Open button. • PDF links: right-click a link and choose "Chat with this PDF". • Scanned PDFs and photographed pages are read with OCR, tables and numbers included. • Long documents: ask about any page by number, or choose the pages Vela should read.
