RedactNinja helps you find and remove personal information before you share a document, an email, a screenshot or a piece of text. Everything happens in your browser. Your files are not uploaded anywhere. It is built for schools, HR teams, data protection officers and IT support staff, especially anyone answering a subject access request. DOCUMENTS Open a PDF, an image, or a Word or Excel file. RedactNinja suggests names, contact details and other UK personal information, and you decide what to cover. Give each redaction a reason, then download a schedule of redactions for your records and a version for the requester. Every page must be approved before download, and the finished file is checked to make sure the covered text has really gone. Scanned pages can be read with OCR, which also runs on your computer. Batch redaction applies the same rules to up to 20 files at once. Simple PDF tools remove metadata, delete pages or make an image-only copy. EMAIL EVIDENCE Turn an Outlook or Microsoft Purview export into redacted PDFs. Review each email, keep or add redactions, and choose which pictures to include. SCREENSHOTS Capture the screen, part of it or a whole scrolling page. Scroll capture also works on a single scrolling panel inside a page, such as a message list or a long settings list, and joins it into one image. You can capture another window or your whole screen through Chrome's own sharing picker. Cover anything private with black boxes, or cover every email address and UK phone number in one click. For support tickets and how-to guides you can add arrows, labels, numbered steps, a spotlight and a zoomed callout, then add a padded frame when you export. Blur is there for tidying, with a clear reminder that black boxes are the safe way to hide personal data. TEXT AND LOGS Paste an error message or a log before you share it. RedactNinja replaces addresses, account names, IDs and secrets with consistent placeholders, so the log still makes sense. SCREEN SHARING Privacy mode covers likely personal data on the page you are showing and follows the page as it scrolls. Turn it on from the toolbar button, the right-click menu or Alt+Shift+P. You can also right-click a picture, a PDF link or selected text to redact it, or keep the tools open in the side panel. PRIVACY AND LIMITS No uploads, no analytics and no account. RedactNinja only works on a tab when you choose one of its actions there. Suggestions can miss things, so always check the result before you share it.
