Heedle helps you notice how you use AI — so it sharpens your thinking instead of quietly eroding it.

It acts as a quiet companion that sits alongside ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. It reflects back the shape of your AI sessions, to help you think WITH AI, instead of simply letting the AI think FOR you. On install, Chrome will show permissions as 'read and change your data' on Claude, Gemini etc. What is NOT TRACKED : Text, context, images, files etc are NOT tracked. What IS TRACKED : Timing, length, copies, pauses etc ARE tracked. Heedle only reads the shape of your sessions — never the content. Data sharing to help support our independent research is OFF by default until you choose to turn it on. — YOU CHOOSE HOW HEEDLE SHOWS UP — Set the tone, find a useful prompt, or make room for a pause. You control what appears and when. 1) START WITH INTENT — Create a start-of-session routine with instructions you choose, ready to use when you begin a chat. 2) USE THE RIGHT PROMPT — Ask for clearer answers, useful pushback or more space for your own thinking. Choose from Heedle’s library or write your own. 3) MAKE TIME TO CHECK IN — Schedule a pause to return to what you originally wanted from the chat, reconsider, change direction or take a break. Automatic check-ins, prompt suggestions and mid-session breaks have separate switches and adjustable timing. Snooze the session-start question for 7 or 30 days, or turn Heedle off. — THE LIBRARY — Click the Heedle pebble on a supported AI chat page to open your searchable library. 1) PROMPTS — Short instructions such as “Straight Talk” for direct, honest answers and “Me First” for working from your own ideas. Copy a prompt or insert it into your draft. You choose when to send. 2) PROTOCOLS — Eight guided workflows to help you make decisions, check answers, improve writing, plan, research, understand a topic, organise material or prepare a handover. 3) MAKE IT YOURS — Create your own prompts and protocols, paste instructions or import a text or Markdown file. Save suggested prompts to My List and add them to a scheduled pause when useful. Your instructions stay editable, and nothing is sent automatically. — WHAT HEEDLE IS NOT — Heedle is NOT AI. It does not chat with you, coach you, or give you advice. It does not score you, rank you, or shame you. No streaks, no number to chase. It is a mirror, not a co-pilot — and it sits on your side of the table. — YOUR PRIVACY IS PARAMOUNT — Heedle records structural signals only — timings, lengths, and your one-tap answers. Never the content of your conversations, and never the prompts you save. Sharing anything with us is optional and off by default. Heedle works fully on your own device whether or not you ever turn sharing on. No account, no email, no name required. We do not sell data, run ads, or build advertising profiles.
