**v1.41** - Tap-to-define answers with the word's meaning, not its grammar. Looking up an everyday form — depended, children, faster — returned only a note like "past participle of depend"; it now follows that through to the definition of the word behind it and keeps the grammar as a subtitle. - The backup dictionary service had gone offline, so some lookups stalled before giving up. It has been replaced with one that answers. - Fixed: a few common words, among them run and set, defined themselves as a language code rather than as the word you tapped. - Fixed: stray formatting text could appear at the end of a definition. **v1.40** - Screen rotation lock on the floating bar — holds the page whichever way you are holding the phone. Phones and tablets, while fullscreen is ON. - Margins now work in fullscreen. The button had been non-functional since v1.19. - Entering fullscreen no longer shows Android's "swipe down to exit" notice two or three times over (although still remains sluggish in Vivaldi). **v1.39** - The article's own lead photograph is carried into the reading view when possible. - A Show pictures switch — read just the words, and still share the file with its pictures if you want them. - The bar's F button is gone; the font list absorbed it, and the font you read in can be pinned as your default. **v1.38** - A shared EPUB optionally carries the article's pictures inside it. **v1.37** - Save an article as an EPUB — a real book file, with the reading font embedded, and the only share route that works on sites you have to log into. A small floating "Aa" button sits quietly in the corner of every page — drag it up or down if it lands somewhere awkward. Tap it and the article opens in Focus Mode: ads, sidebars, and clutter stripped away, leaving just the words. A floating button bar then gives you one-tap control over everything while you read. (Prefer the toolbar icon? That still works too.) READING COMFORT • Focus Mode — extracts the article and removes distractions • 27 reading fonts, including two drawn specifically for accessibility and built right in, with nothing to download: – OpenDyslexic (the default) — weighted letter shapes that help readers with dyslexia tell similar letters apart – Atkinson Hyperlegible — from the Braille Institute, designed so easily-confused characters stay distinct for low-vision readers • Plus a broad range of the everyday typefaces already installed on your device — serif, sans-serif, and monospace — so you can settle on whichever one reads easiest for you • Pictures on or off in the reading view — keep the article's photographs, lead image and all, or switch to just the words • Dark mode with one tap • Adjustable text size, line spacing, alignment, and margins • A+ and A− buttons on the bar for instant bigger or smaller text while you read • Brightness dimming for reading in dark rooms • Fullscreen mode for zero distractions • Screen rotation lock on phones and tablets — hold the page the way you are holding it, so leaning back does not spin the article (works while fullscreen is ON) LISTEN INSTEAD • Read Aloud speaks the article with text-to-speech — pause and resume anytime • A speaking-speed control in settings, for engines that support it BUILT-IN DICTIONARY • Select any word to see a quick definition right on the page — no need to leave the article SHARE WHAT YOU'RE READING • Send the article on as plain text — it goes anywhere: text messages, chat apps, email, or your notes • On a computer it copies straight to the clipboard, ready to paste • Or save it as an EPUB — a real book file your e-reader or reading app opens, with the article's pictures carried inside it and the ads left behind • Prefer words only? Open settings from the gear on the floating bar, or right-click the toolbar icon and choose "Options". Designed for desktop Chrome and other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera). On Android, Google Chrome doesn't support extensions, but extension-capable browsers such as Vivaldi and Mises can install it too. PRIVACY This extension stores your settings locally in your browser. The only data that ever leaves your device is the word you look up in the dictionary. It is sent to Wiktionary's public API (en.wiktionary.org) for a definition; if that word turns out to be a form of another word, the base word is then sent to Datamuse's public API (api.datamuse.com) so that what you see is a definition and not just a note about grammar. Datamuse is also used when Wiktionary cannot answer at all. Sharing an article happens on your device — the text is taken from the page you are reading and handed straight to your system's share sheet or your clipboard. If you save an EPUB with its pictures, the extension downloads that article's images from the same addresses the page you are reading just loaded them from, so they can be placed inside the file; no other service is contacted, and the file itself is assembled on your device. Nothing is tracked, collected, or sold.
