No made-up passwords you reuse everywhere, no website to open, nothing to sign up for. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the Strong Password Generator icon in your toolbar. 2. Pick Random, Words or PIN and set the length. 3. Click Copy and paste the password into the sign-up form. WHY IT IS STRONG • Real randomness. Every character comes from your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), not Math.random. • Honest strength meter. It rates the password by how it was made, shows the entropy in bits and an estimated time to crack it, from Very Weak in red to Very Strong in green. • Every random password has upper and lower case letters, plus at least one number and one symbol when those are on. FEATURES • Random passwords from 4 to 100 characters, with switches for numbers and symbols. • Add your own characters when a site asks for a special one. • Words mode: 4 to 10 whole words from the EFF list of 7,776 words, easier to read out and type. Or use your own word list. • PIN mode for phones, cards and lock codes. • One click copies the password.
