Overview

Edit local HTML files directly in Chrome with rich formatting tools and save changes as the same file or a copy.

Edit local HTML files visually — no separate editor, no uploads. PagePatch turns any file:// HTML page open in Chrome into an editable document. Flip on edit mode, change the page directly in the browser with a floating toolbar, and save your work through Chrome's Save As dialog — overwrite the original or keep a copy. Everything happens locally on your machine. Format text inline Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, inline code, headings (H1–H6), bulleted and numbered lists, indent/outdent, alignment, text and highlight colors, font family and size, links, images (upload, drag-and-drop, or paste), and horizontal rules. Plus style presets — callouts, cards, button links — and an inline icon picker. Edit tables A dedicated table panel: insert a table with the rows and columns you want, add or delete rows and columns from the current cell, merge or split cells, paint cell backgrounds, and align text — with headers kept intact. Style any element Click any block to select it, then resize or drag to move it and adjust size, padding, margin, fill and border, opacity, shadows, filters, transforms, and custom CSS. Apply animation presets that keep working after you save. Delete elements with a click or the Delete key. Build and export slide decks Full Reveal.js support: add, duplicate, delete, and reorder slides from the Slides panel, edit them in place, and export to PDF — either Chrome's print layout or pixel-accurate slide-by-slide screenshots. Work faster Undo/redo for every change (including tables, elements, and Find & Replace), a Find & Replace panel with live highlighting and match navigation, a collapsible toolbar with light/dark themes, and automatic draft recovery. Private by design PagePatch runs entirely on your device. It makes no network calls, sends nothing anywhere, and asks only for the permissions it needs to read and save the local file you're editing. Free. All of it. Every feature listed above is free, and stays free. There is no paid tier, no trial that expires, no feature locked behind an upgrade prompt, no account to create, and no subscription. PagePatch does not collect or sell your data, because it does not have any of it — nothing you edit ever leaves your computer. I build and maintain PagePatch on my own time. If it saved you an afternoon of fighting with an HTML file, you are welcome to tip the price of a coffee — it is entirely optional, and it changes nothing about what the extension does.
