WebSubtitle – Add Subtitles to Web Videos

Add local and online subtitle files to web videos with per-video sync and styling.

WebSubtitle lets you load a subtitle file from your device or search OpenSubtitles, then attach subtitles to an accessible HTML5 video directly in Chrome. Adjust the timing and appearance, fix subtitle sync, or edit supported subtitles in the built-in editor. When supported by Chrome and the selected language pair, you can also translate an existing subtitle track on your device and add the translation as a new track. The original subtitles remain unchanged. Compatibility: WebSubtitle works with accessible HTML5 videos. Embedded videos may require you to explicitly grant access to the site. DRM-protected content, restricted iframes, proprietary video players, or custom fullscreen implementations may not be supported. On-device translation availability depends on your Chrome version, device, browser settings, and selected language pair.
