NoteInSite — notes right on web pages

Notes inside the text of any website: the layout makes room for the note, rich formatting, links that open in popup windows.

NoteInSite gives you notes woven into the page. A note doesn't sit on top of the website — it takes up space in its layout: the text moves aside and flows around it, like a sidebar in a magazine. Next time you open the page, the note is right where you left it. WHAT IT DOES • A note becomes part of the page layout. An empty block of exactly its size is inserted into the markup next to it, and the text makes room: in a wide block it flows around the note on the left or right, in a narrow one it moves down. No text is left covered. The block is ours, not the site's: it is recreated every time the page opens and disappears when the note is removed, hidden or pinned to the screen. • You see where the note will land. While you drag it, a frame highlights the layout block, a bar shows the insertion line, and a dashed rectangle marks the note's future place and width. • A note anywhere on the page — right-click → "Add a note here", Alt+Shift+N or Alt + double-click on the spot you need. • A simple form — a plain text field. In view mode you see only the text: no buttons, no frames, and the height adjusts to the content. • Editing opens with a mouse click or a tap on the note itself, and the cursor lands where you pressed; it closes with Esc or a click outside the note. • Formatting toolbar: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, 9 fonts, sizes from 11 to 40 px, text color and note color, bulleted list, emoji, links, clear formatting. If a fragment is selected, formatting applies to it; with no selection, to the whole note. • Links open in popup windows. Each link has its own window size, so a reference page or a ticket opens alongside without taking up a tab. • Notes scroll with the page and return to their place. What's saved is a description of the place — the layout block, the node inside it and the insertion line — so the note stays next to its text even at a different window width or when content loads later. If the site has changed and the place is gone, the note lies on top of the page at its saved coordinates. • Drag with a mouse or a finger, resize, collapse to a single line — the page layout opens and closes up accordingly. • The 📌 button pins a note to the screen: it leaves the layout (the text closes up again), stops scrolling and is always in view. • The 🌐 button makes a note shared across all pages of the site, not just the current one. • Notes can be turned off with a single switch — globally or for a specific site. Hidden notes are not deleted and come back when you turn them on again. • The extension window has the list of notes on the current page with a jump to any of them, formatting settings for new notes and a JSON backup: "Export all" saves the entire storage, "Export this page only" saves the notes of one page (its own and the site-wide ones). Import adds notes to the existing ones without creating duplicates. • The interface is available in English, Russian, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Hindi and follows your browser's language.
