Streak Counter is a private habit tracker that measures how long you've gone without visiting the websites you're trying to quit — and shows you, in hard numbers, whether you're actually improving. It is not a website blocker. It never stops a page from loading and it never nags. Plainly, what each permission is for: • Site access (all URLs) — to read the hostname of the page you're on and compare it against your list. Page content is never read, and nothing is recorded for sites you haven't added. • History — used only by Ghost Mode, to delete entries for domains you chose. Your history is never read for any other purpose and never leaves your device. • Notifications — the optional reset and milestone alerts. Turn them off and nothing is sent. • Storage — your streaks and settings, on this device. Two things touch the network, both optional and both obvious: licence verification with our payment provider if you upgrade, and the feedback box in Settings if you choose to send a message. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FAQ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Does it block websites? No. A page never fails to load. Streak Counter records the visit and restarts your timer. What if I open a site by accident? A cooldown — two hours by default — means repeat visits in the same sitting count as one slip, not several. A manual reset can be undone straight away. Does it work in Incognito? Only if you allow it in chrome://extensions. It can't see what it isn't permitted to see. Is my streak stored online? No. It lives in your browser's local storage, so uninstalling clears it. Export a backup first if it matters to you. Can I track something other than adult sites? Yes.
